About COPE:
COPE Services is the Ozaukee County Hotline.
We listen! We care! We are unique in that our Hotline is answered by trained volunteer listeners. This allows us to provide supportive listening to our callers, in addition to crisis intervention and information and referral services. We are available 24/7 and all calls to COPE are confidential! We have 3 hotline services:
- Adult Hotline
- Teen/Home Alone Line
- Senior Support Services staffed by a Senior Support Specialist
More Facts about COPE:
- In 2007, we answered 25,780 phone calls, an increase of 8% from the previous year.
- Many of our callers are people suffering from mental illness who need daily living support.
- COPE is a United Way Agency.
We have 2 goals for every call to COPE:
- That the caller feels less stressed at the end of the call.
- That the caller knows the next step – what they are going to do next!
